New York October 20th: 1692

Sr:

Vpon Discourse with Mr: Brook about the getting an order for the
obtaining your Sallary to be pass'd by the Gouernour and Councill of
this Prouince I find he pass'd it in his account of Incidents from
the 30th. of January 1690 : to the 24th of June following and as he tells
me was allways forward that it Should be allowed and the Same
I haue Confirmed to me by Mr: Courtland, and the minute of
Councill Dated 29th: of July 1691. and would haue you not think
otherwise of him, but that he Continues stedfast to your Intrest:
What I haue formerly wrote in this matters, was upon an
il grounded Information. thus much I thought in Justice to him
to acquaint you and that I am
