Puttuxent in Maryland September the 10th
1698

Honored Sir

I had the favour of a letter from the Honorable John Povey Esquire
relateing to my accounts last transmitted to you; I shall punctually
observe his directions relateing to the Copyes of the accounts of
Assembly &c : some few shipps are ready to saile when they are
theare shall make up a state of the account ^ account of the revenue ^ since my last and
send your Honor by the ffirst oppertunity together with a
state of the accounts made up by the Officers appoynted
for the Country I have already delivered his Excellency
three copys thereof; I shall not be wanting in my duty to
the utmost of my knowledge But humbly begg your Honors
direction in any thing that may not be agreeable to the fforme
your Honor expects; and it shall be rectify;d; I wish I could
any way be serviceable to your Honor her for that I must
alwayes retaine a greatfull acknowledgement of your favours
which I shall alwayes be obliged to acknowledge being //
