Bermuda: Aprill: 10th: 1699

Sr

The losse of a small vessell appointed by their Lordshipps of the Admiralty
to transport me from One Plantation & Island to another, exposes
me to many difficultyes hazards & vnnecessary delayes, staying
some tymes 3 or 4 months for a passage. which I haue humbly repre
sented not long since to the Right Honorable the Lords Commissioners for trade, and
That there is now as great a necessity for another vessell, as ther was
for that. I am going in a very small one to providence Island &
thence to Virginia if I can gett a passage. If my attendance on your
Honor at Whitehall bes for his Majesties service be pleased to signify
your commands to my Masters at the custome house they will send their
orders to me in Virginia or Maryland accordingly

I haue wrote nothing in mine of this date But matter of
fact, proposing therein onely the increase & security of his Majesties
vast dominions in America: humbly intreating the Continuance of
your Honors favour I am in all duty
