Boston the 3rd of february 1686

Sr

I ritt to thee the 23th : December by Captain Lewes and
the 24th : by Captain Balston and Hoopher of this place
an all : of my arrival the 20th and all well here, those
of the Councill then p'sent with me sworn & agents
Councill sumoned to meet 4 : 30th : att which time those
of Plimouth and Roade Island as well as this
Colony aheared were sworn & tooke their places
I send thee a copy of lonetieutt letter in answer
to mine delivered att the same time with their
last Quo warants I intend sending the original
for the Lords by a ship almost ready to soill
but cannott obmitt this by a small punch is
ready but kept in by the __ but hope ___
___ for them of ___ Sovner

The ___ here att my arivall is Continued
with the addition of a Contrey rate of one peny
in the pounds as usual & Comitie apointed
to Consider of Courts to be setled &a Collection
of Lewes & of the reaente (which is low but
small) and repent to next generall Councill
the 23 instant till when all of _____
& military nott Changed to Continue & if
Conetuett should come in as same think
may selle altogether Mr Randolph will have all papers ready against ship 2 come
