From St. Marys in Maryland the 4th. instant I
gave you accountt of my arrival & proceedings there
to that tyme, where I stayd till the 7th at night
when all councillours arrived, & what necessary
for their Majesties service dispatched, Provincial
Courte sitting & all very freindly I left them well, &
returned to my station here, where all continues
well, And hope Mr. Secretary Wormeley (who is gone
Home) hath taken care (as ordered) to send accountt
& Journals of all Proceedings, But understanding
the ffleet (who had liberty to clear the 8th. instant)
are most of them not at Pointe=comforte now waiting
a wind to sayle for England, therefore may not
venture to delay this longer, but again pray your
favour (as I have to the Secretary of State, & Lords of the
Comittee of Plantations for 500l. out off their Majesties
quitt rents for soe much Mr. Auditor Byrd is ordered
to advance for their Majesties service at New Yorke
the 2s. per hogshead not sufficing the present Charge
of the Government.
I hope soon & for the future (in which they promise
to be punctual) better accounts of the Collectors,
&
Mr. Blathwayt.

& Custom=house Officers of all Entrys, Shipps & Vessells
as they ought to be transmitted accordingly. I am
