Neuis the 18. of May 1680

Sir

you haue extreamely oblidged me by your
letters of 29. 27. 24.th January: as well by the
conueyance of the Right Honorable Mr Secretary
Counetry's letter (who I find is resigneing his place)
and one from my wife as allsoe for the
large account you haue giuen me of affaires
at home and of matters relateing to those Islands
Mr. Tippet had neare vpon 12 weekes passage
Their Lordsips packett and your letters being
soe long in the way could onely be answered
with the signification of the receipt thereof
and not with a full and satisfactory account:
butt what has offered is humbly offered to their
Lordships by this conueniency: I send allsoe a letter
to my Lord Bishop of London in answer to his request
I giue you my most hearty thankes for your great
care in what Importes the Leeward Islands and meselfe
in particular I haue proposed to the: Islands to Imploy a
constant agent butt they are soe close fitted that
they will not yet harken to itt: my thoghts are If

to take that trouble in the mean time I conclud
