Neuis the 12th. of february: 1680/1

Sir

I giue you my hearty thankes for the last
newes you sent me I am now bound
to the Islands of Antego and Montseratt
to setle some matters there and to gett
the accounts Expected to bee sent home
to yourself it being a new thing to the people
they are slow in sending it to me
I doe not vnderstand any reason any
of the clergy men had to complain to
my Lord Bishop there is one of them
Catelie suspended at St. Christophers on Mr. John
Millard for many things layed to his charge
by the vestrymen and parishuners.
I haue now appointed Mr. patrick Trant
to receaue the two companyes paye and
my owne sallarie: for that Captain freeman seemes
to bee indifferent or wearie of that trust
I begg your assistance to him in what you may
my wife and sister Russell desired to bee
kindly remembred to you collonell cotter desires
to haue his seruice presented to you I am
