his Son, and Major Saltonstall, have refused his Majestyes Service; &
Mr. Mason hath a Lyst of names humbly to offer that wee
may by his Majestyes allowance fill the Councill with persons
near the seat of the government, Loyall and able to serve his
Majesty of whome God knowes wee have need; besides the Constant
^ abuse offerd mee Ever Since my returne from White Hall the late Generall
Assembly were absurdly bold to abuse what I said to them at their
dissolution and therefore though it be scarce sence I have ordered
it to be sent you with the other Prints wherein if there be any
article of Courage Wanting or it bee toss easy and favourable to the
people I pray your Bleif the it was truly intended for an easy
introduction of his Majestyes Commands and in no wise to humour a
discontented faction that is in this place, from whome I have
had offered me all the Contempt within their power.

If is late in the night and Mr Randolph and myself are taking
home for the Narrhaganset country in his Majestyes Service where
the Road Islanders will Labour to Baffle us or else I had not taken
a journey in this intollerable heat nor allowed such a hasty
Scrowle to come to your hands; Mr Randolph hath writtend
more Largely and I therefore humbly begge your pardon. &

Am Sr. Your faithfull and Obliged
