Boston In New England June 10: 1680

Honored Sr.

The Inclosed to his Majesty is a duplicate of one Long Since Sent by the
Government of New Plymouth, in Answer to a Comission Relateing to
Some Lands Sued for by Willia Harris, who Sayled hence on Christ
mas day, Inpeached by Connecticot Collony to wait upon his Majesty
and as Sollicitor in behalfe of the Proprietors of the Narrogansett
Countrey to Supplicate the Confirmation of their right, But the
Ship that Carryed him being Supposed to be Left, Obliges the
Said proprietors to a new address, which in regard they are inha=
bitants of the Severall Collonyes, and the Narrogansett Countrey
and Cannot Convene before this Ships departure, they must
defer till the next

Sr As I haue lately been Sensible of your favour and Industry
to promote the affayrs of New Plymouth, Soe Am I Incouraged
to hope that the Same principles of Loyalty and justice will
prevaile with you to Consider and represent to his Majesty and
Councell The unhappy ^ occassion that hath retarded his Majestyes Subjects
the proprietors of the Narrogansett Countrey from acknowledg=
ing The Dutifull Sense and Satisfaction they haue of the op=
portunity his Majesty Soe gratiously giues them, to make out
their right, and receive his Royall Confirmation, And To
Implore his Majesty to Suspend any Denation; either of Land
or Disposall of Government, till they be inabled to send over new
Demonstrations of their right, and his Majesyes [illegible] Interest,
all which its hoped will by the next ship Come effectually recom=
ended to yourselfe, accompnyed with the proprietors humble
request, that you would be theri advocate, adn Reteine Some
faithfull Sollicitor to be your Remembrancer and attendant
whose recompence shalbee Gratefully provided for, And
Acknowledgment made to you Answerable to the good Success and benefitt
you Interest and Indeavours may Secure to the proprietors,
In whose behalfe I presume thus to make myslefe Knowne
unto you, with great assurance That I am
