Boston : August: 23: 1686

Sr.

I cannot avoid giuing you now trouble & desire
you to favour me in presenting my pietition to the
Lords of the Committee of Trade & obtaine for me
their Lordships Order: which I hope will be directed
to Sr. Edmund Andros Our Governor for whose arriuall
all good men pray: wee are in dayly expectation
to heare newes of A pyrat wee haue sent after
Captain Georg lyes here in harbour twould be more
for the Service of the Country that he were out
Cruising vpon the Coasts : but that is the presidents
busines : who studies to [illegible] me in all my
affaires : & hopes to make his fortunes before the
Governor arriues : wee hourely expect to see Captain
Saint Lo from Bermudas from whence I haue advise
that Bath. Sharp was aboard the Dartmouth
frigott & ready to sayle hither I am now going
to piscataqua. to seize a vessell tho I gott
nothing by it yet I make others great loosers
& shall break the Interloping trade to which Mr
Wharton is a kind frind: Mr Mein Surveyor
Generall is with me & speedily returnes to Virginnia.
