Sr

I intended for England upon the Ship
of Captain Lewis by whom you will
receive this Letter, haveing put my
things and provisions on board him
and had sailed the 14. Instant
when at the same time hi
Majesties ffrigat the Rose with
Mr Randolph happily after a
Long expectation arrived here
which caused a stop upon Lewis
for Two Days, and Since another
ship will Saile in Ten days at
furthest the Honorable president &
the Councill have thought it
absolutely necessary to stay till
then that soe I may be able
to give HIs Majesty some satis
factory accountt of the proceeding
of this people; what hath all
ready past I referre myself
to the Letter of the president
pray Sr. Lett ther be no proceeding
in Mr Vaughans Case untill my
arrival being now detained upon
His Majesties Service which I am
