Honorable Sr
I sent my Accounts for this year
by the Comadore of the Virginia fleet as allso Duplicates
of this & last years in the said fleet, I procured most of
the Warrants to bee indorsed, which I hope will giue
Satisfaction, And shall bee more carefull for the future.
Here is a considerable Quantity of Tobacco left in the Country
for want of Ships to carry itt out, which must much prejudice
their Majesty's Revenue att Home, as well as lessen itt here,
which suffers allso by the great Quantity's of Tobacco now
prest into Hogsheads, by reason fraight is now att such
excessiue Rates
I haue paid (since my Account) the Governor & Lieutenant Governor One
Quarters Salary, besides other contingent charges, which hath
drawne of most I haue received since the Auditt.
The Lieutenant Governor & Secretary will giue you a full account of the
Government, therefore I shall not presume to trouble you therewith
This being chiefly with my humble Service to Kisse your hands
& humbly beg the Continuance of your favours, to him, who
will ever acknowledge himselfe with the utmost respect
