Honored Sir

The Mercyes of Allmighty God in preservation of his Majesty's
Sacred person from the villanous Attempts of Our Enemies, has
caused an Universall rejoyceing in this his Majesty's Dominion
and in my perticular person under the Pressures of the Torment
ing Goute; which thro its vielencey of Late has forced me to
a Deputacion till I am able to performe my Duty personally
Mr. Edmond Jennings my Kinsman and one of the Council ap=
proved on by our Governor in Council is admitted and Sworne
Deputy Secretary, that his Majestys Service may not by
any Illness of myne, want one in that Station; I pray that
you'll honor me as to have it Soe represented for the com
plying with not=neglect of my Duty; Collonel Jennings has the
present trouble of Transferring the Country buisness! there:
