My Lord

I receive your Lordships of the 23 instant, and have by this
post sent orders that strict search may be made through
the borders after such rebellious Preachers as your Lordshipe
mentions, and if any are found, in unlawfull meetings
or assemblys, that they forthwith cause them to be
Seized and Secured, with the most considerable persons ^ so
assembled; I have not yet heard of any Such upon
the borders on the English Side, and dare ingage there
shall be no disturbance in my Lieutenancy; I have not
only writ to the Deputy Lieutenants and Justices of the Peace but also to
Captain Fielding who at present Commands in Carlisle that if
there is occasion he is assisting to them with Some part
of that thin Garrison, what account I have concerning this
matter you shall be acquainted with by
