Deale. Oct: ii. 1684

I arrived here last night in pursuance of ye Inclosed Instructions
& expected to be gone away immediately. but ye Command.r had no notice
of a voyage so I acquainted of it so that he stayes a day or two
to fitt his vessell with new [Harps]: I thought it my duty to send
you the inclosed that you may know my errand. & if my atten-
dance at ye Committee should be required. these papers may bee
offred in my Excuse. I intend not to make any long stay
beleiving the shipps have been long since say'ld. and some
of ye Comm.rs were of that opinion also. however you see
the necessity now of my going. I have Engaged Mr [Pengry]
to follow ye Bosteners Charter. & Mr Burton undertakes
in defence of my prosecutor: Whom I hope in a little
tyme to pay in her own Coine: I give my humble Service to
Mr Blathwayt & intreat the Continuance of his and
your favour & assistance. God send me once again
well to N: Eng.d Lett whose will go a Fishing for
prizes amongst ye Hollanders in their own Ports.
with a Small vessell: I intend to make all the hast I
can back againe least the winter seize me before
my return:

so his Lords.ll may putt their bonds in Suite if he pleases.
