My Lord

I am uery proud I haue the honor to call you soe, because
I find that the King has been pleased to create you one of the Lords of
the Committy of trade and fforaign Plantacions I think my selfe
obliged in duty of what I haue wrott to his Grace the Duke of
Shrewsbury and my Lord Bridgewater to acquaint you with it
which has some reflections on your Office which you'l haue att
large in my Lord Bridgewaters affidauitts which I haue sent to
him, since Mr. Trotts arriuall in Bermudas he has proued the greatest
rogue and uillaine to me in the world, and has blowen up the whole
Country, in my generall Letter to your Lordships you'l find it att
large I think him worse than Richier if possible.

I haue this fauor humbly to beg of your Lordship that
whatsoever papers comes to yuor Lordships committy against me that
I may be heard before I am Judged either personally or by my
Councill, for I doe assure your Lordships upon my honor and word
they are all untruths falsities & Lyes that has hether to been
Exhibited against me by Mr Richier, and Mr Trott threatens to
to doe the like against me att Whitehall if Bribery & Perjury
will doe it, my Lord I hope you'l pardeon me I giue you this
trouble I am sorry I am soe remote from Whitehall I cannot
