Honorable Sr.
This ship hath hapily layn wind bound, until we
have the Joyfull Newes of the Defeat & death
of the Duke of Monmouth & all Loyall persons
with us Count themselves happy in the so sudden
restauration of peace to both the kingdoms.
& I have further to acquaint you that the Newes
I Intimated in some of my letters of fears of the
breaking out of New Troubles with the Indians
is we hope ended for they have lately passed mu
tuall Covenants & presents with us so that we have
no prospects of remaining danger I am
