Cousin Edward Flower

London the 31 March 1696

The Gentleman under whose couvert this
will come to your hands, hath, is and hope
will continue to be my Protector against all
my Enemies.

Wherefore, I am bound by honor and Gra=
titude to make him annualy a small freewill
offering which I have pray'd him to accept of,
Being one Tunn of ye very primest and choicest
Wines and Twenty Boxes of ye Best Prunetos
your Country will afford which please now to
follow his order in sending where, when, and
to whome, and so continue to observe his orders
once in every year, for as many years as I shall
remain Governor of ye Province of New Hampshire
in New England, where I am now preparing to
go unto not doubting of your extraordinary case
herein I Remain,
