By my Last Per the hands of Mr: Jeffryes informed you
of my being Executor to Collonell Nathaniell Bacond Late Auditor of Virginia
& Implor'd your assistance for geting his Accouunts of their Majesties
Revenve here, allowed by the Commissioners of the Treasury
as I may be ^ ^fully discharged thereof, Since which I haue bin
Called before the Gouernor & Cuncell here, where I haue
Given bond with Security for Paying what Now Appear
due, as also all such Summes as shall be Not allowed
of vpon Examination of the said Collonell Bacon Accounts
in England, & Exhibited before them the Auditors book
where vpon Mr: Auditor Bird & the Clarke of the Councell
being thereto Appointed, haue Stated the Accounts as you
will finde Per Coppy Inclosed, on ballance whereof Collonell
Bacons Estate Stands charged with £1536:14:7 where
in I observed that he is Charged with his Majesties part
of the Negros Seized &pound420:10:7: but is Not allowed
Creditt for the Auditors Sallery for said Summe at 7½ per Cent
Sr: I am a Stranger to the whole affair & apply my
selfe to you for obtaining the Right which in Justice
is due to me: & am Confident you will so farr answer
the Character which you haue obtined in the world
as to Interest yourselfe in such ^ ^a Case, where you shall
finde Noe vnfare meaning or design, but a Sincere
& Canded innocence & Integrity Suitable to the pagronag
it Earnestly implores & Requests) I shall neuer faile
in the Greatfull Resentment of those just favors & all=
wayes Continve (Honored Sr)
