Honored Sr, October the 26: 1692 Virginia
By our Last fleet did make bould to trouble you
with a few Lines to giue you an Account of the death
of my Honored Vnckle Nathaniell Bacon Esquire: Not long
since, [illegible] Auditor of their Majesties Collony of Virginia
who by an Account from vnder his hand, giuen to
our Honorable Leivtenant Governor ffrancis Nicholson Esquire; he[?]
seemes to be Indebted to their Majesties on the ballance
of the Qvarter Account; & being altogether a Stranger
in Such Affares, & Not Knowing any Person
soe proper to make my Adresses to, in that Affare
as yourselfe; haue therefore Presvmed to Troble
you this 3d time, humbly Reqvesting that you
would favor me soe far as to see that I haue
Right don therein; a Coppy of the Account deliv=
ered to his honovr (vpon his first Comeing to
Virginia) you will see vsed my Vnckles hand, the which
his Honovr hath Promised to shew you by which
you will finde (as it seemes to me) what is due to
their Majesties if Noe part hath Not bin paid, which
I must Confess dovth Not appeare by his book
to haue bin dvn; I haue Reqvested Esquire Jeffryes
vpon the Jvsting of the Account to make payment
of the ballance thereof, Provided that I may be
for ever Acqvised, from any fvrther Clames,
which I hope you will be pleased, to favour me
soe far, as to se that the Accounts be Ecqvetably
Stabed; which will be a high favour dvn to
him that is, Honored Sr.
