Waterford 22: August

Sr.

I arriued upon the Jarsey frigott at Duncannon
fort came hither at 11 this night post from passage: where
I am made very welcome by Collonell Brower governor of this town.
the 3000lb sent to Dublin for the Army was upon the News
of Sasfeilds taking some of the Artilery & Waggons ordered
to be sent by Sea & is brought heither vppon the Jarsey: I
am going to the Camp & hope to be at the taking of
Limrick which is Supposed will not hold out longer than
Sunday or Munday next. 3000 of the Irish which made
a Sally out of the town being for the most part cutt off
& about 700 hangd by order of L: G: Keeke: I am
hast[en]ing from hence & desire my humble Seruice to Mada[m]
Winter to your Lady & to your Sisters to Sr. Edmund Andros whose
commands I shall not forgett to Mr Chaplin & to Mr
Povey: of my Adventures you may expect an account at
my return I am Sr.
