Patuxent. July: 28: 1692:

Sr:

I haue made a second attempt vpon Collonell Blackiston & at last
gott a sight of his papers. all in as great confusion as you can
think of: he giues no acccount of any money due to their Majesties
nor has for many yeares done it. I find the Governor wards for him
but to no purpose I haue told the Governor & also giuen it vnder
my hand to Mr Blackiston. that vnlesse he forthwith draw vp his
accounts. & sweare them vpon before the Governor I will suspend him.

I pressd the registring of the deputation to me the Govern<em.or
tells me he has wrote to you by this oppertunity. & ads with all
that in regard the word Maryland is not expressd he cannot
offer it to the Generall Assembly: but will do what he can for you
he has made Thomas Tench one of his Council Receiuer Generall:
the people begin to complaine. Mr Guinn his Atturney Generall: is
deat. I am going to pennsilvania & thence to visit the Northern
parts of my walke. to discourse what Tobacco is carried theither
from those tobacco plantations more then the Collectors charge
themselues with: I haue taken care for Acorns etc: for you
& my freinds. Sr. Jo. Louther Mr Lounds etc: my humble service
to Mr povey. to Mr Chaplin. etc. I am Sr
your humble servant
